Final Reflection

Through this semester I’ve learned a lot of things in my Public Speaking and Academic Writing class like: grammar, giving speeches, creating outlines, working in group, vocabulary, etc. But the most important thing that this class gave to me is that I’ve become a more sensitive and conscious person about the problems in the world. I really appreciate that I learned to help others even if I don´t know them, because I have to be empathic and feel what others are feeling even if they’re living a situation that is not affecting me directly I learned it does affect me because they´re people in my country or in my world, therefore whatever problem is happening to them will affect me at any moment. Finally I learned to remember that everything I do, good or bad, will come back to me someday, so I have the right to choose how to be, but knowing that at the end I will be rewarded or punished depending on what I do or how I act.

What I've learned..

I have learned a lot of important things during this month at my English class. In first place, I've learned to speak in public without being shy and also how to give impromptu speaches, these have been utterly important things to me, because I had never been able to speak in public without being shy until now. I have improved a lot at giving speaches, also I have improved nimbly  at my grammar skills like at writing conditionals, and writing in the right tenses. Finally, the grammar structures that have given me the most trouble are the adjective and adverb clauses.

My Reflection

Famous people helping the world is a very important topic nowadays.In the frist place, it’s really important that artists like Leonardo DiCaprio act to help our world in different aspects. They are an example for all the people in the world and this is the most important aspect I discovered through our research. Because when people see that their idols do things to make a better world, they try to follow their steps and also try to make our world a better place. I really admire that artists like DiCaprio really are committed with our world even if they’re not forced to do it. Therefore, they do it because they want to and they feel responsible about the planet problems, but they are not the only ones who should be worried and committed. Finally, I think that we all have to take actions in campaigns to help the world like Leonardo DiCaprio and all the other artists that act in favour of our Planet. In my case, I have been committed to a lot of organizations to help the world like, Greenpeace, International Amnesty, Hilda Rothschild Foundation, etc. And I will stay committed to groups like these to try to save our world and make it better.

Spiderman, a Hero Just Like Any Other Person

Spiderman is my favourite superhero because of a lot of reasons. You might be asking "why if he's so simple compared to the other famous superheros?", well, that's the main reason that makes Spiderman my ideal superhero.

In the first place, Spiderman wasn't born with his superpowers, actually, he lived most of his life as a common person. This made him realize a lot of the problems that normal people could live, or the bad experiences that they have throughout their lives. By having this perspective of life, when he became a superhero, he knew where to help and he could be able to feel empathy with the people he helped or helps.

On the other hand, Spiderman does not get anything, superficially talking (material), by helping people. He doesn't earn money, or gofts; he just gets the satisfaction of helping people and making his world a more peaceful and harmonic planet. This demostrates hos he's always commited to humanity and our world's right principles.

Finally, Spiderman will always be my favourite superhero because he is a real humanitarian, helps with empathy and he knows what suffering is, and how life can be difficult; but the most important thing he shows us is that revenge is always bad, and that everything you do (good or bad) comes back to you at any moment.
